Today is the last
day to sign up for the Morgan Hill Meet and the Senior meet both on
Dec 12-13.
The Gilroy meet has
had a change of venue. The meet will be held at the Morgan
Hill pool on December 12th and 13th.
Seniors - The
Senior meet at Diablo Valley is your last chance to qualify for
Sectionals in December. Please talk to your coach about
signing up for this meet.
Meet your Zones
Buddy will begin on Tuesday, Dec 8th. We will be
doing our first buddy activity in preparation for
Zones. Please be at practice on time for this
activity. Also please bring a snack to share with your
buddy.
In order to prepare
for this activity, I need every swimmer to stop by the office
tonight or tomorrow to have their picture taken.
The food drive will
kick off on Tuesday, Dec 7th. We will be putting
bins out at the beginning of the month. There will be a bin
for each age group. The age group that collects the most food
will win a party. Additional details will be sent out next
week.
Look for the Lost
Dutchman information to come out to you in a separate
email. This is a very fun travel meet for those swimmers who
qualify. Please let me know if your swimmer is interested in
attending or if you have any questions.
Thank you for your enthusiasm
for volunteering. Please know that there are plenty of
opportunities for getting your hours done throughout the
season. Do not get frustrated if you cannot get on the list
for the locker room. There will be lots of hours available for
upcoming meets and events. Please do not sign up for more than
one slot per family per event. Your slots will be released if
you sign up for more than one prior to them being released for
additional sign ups.
Again, anyone volunteering in
the locker room must be IN the locker room if there are swimmers in
there. Please do not leave prior to all swimmers being out of
the locker room. If there is not adult supervision in
the locker rooms, they will be closed.
All swimmers
must change in the deck bathrooms or at home prior to
practice and in the locker rooms or at home after
practice. Deck changing anywhere is not allowed. All swim
bags will be required to be on the bleachers during
practice. In the event of rain they will be required to be in
the hallway. No bags will be allowed in the deck bathrooms
during practice.
We know there are
times when you all might need to talk to your swimmer’s
coach. As it is difficult for them to coach and give you the
attention you might need on deck during practice, they have
reserved Thursday evenings after practice for parent meeting times
if need be. There will be a sign-up sheet in the office for
anyone wanting to schedule time with a coach.
